Taryn Mangelsdorf

Taryn brings extensive experience working with farmers, farming families and farming system groups in her previous role with the Northern & Yorke Landscape Board where she provided support, advice, funding access, education and extension in the areas of building land capacity and drought mitigation.

Taryn has 20 years’ experience in rural engagement and leadership development, and 15 years working in both the public and private sector.

Taryn is passionate about building resilience into family farms and farming businesses, and has degrees in environmental science and business management, and further qualifications extension and education.

She currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Agricultural Societies Council of SA and Sheep Connect SA, and is a Board Member of Barossa Improved Grazing Group, amongst other industry roles.

Taryn and her partner Andrew farm at Manoora in the State’s mid north, in a mixed farming enterprise with cropping, a commercial sheep flock and a Merino sheep stud.
