As of 04/03/2015 all Livestock SA Membership forms include the option to become a member of the CCA.

The benefits of membership include:
- Livestock SA seeks to represent all beef cattle, sheep and goat producers in South Australia.
- Livestock SA provides for all members to nominate and elect Board members and other office-members of the organisation.
- Through consultation, members provide policy direction for Livestock SA around livestock issues at a state and national level.
All livestock producers who pay industry levies under the Primary Industries Funding Schemes Act 1998 in SA are eligible to be members. There is no additional cost to be a member of Livestock SA however producers who have asked for the industry levy to be refunded are not eligible to be members.
For Livestock SA to contact and service members, producers need to complete an application for membership.

Free Cattle Council membership for Livestock SA
The Cattle Council of Australia is calling for producers to join as members of the organisation so they can have direct input into the direction of the Australian beef industry. Membership is free to South Australian producers who are members of Livestock SA.

Associate membership of Livestock SA
Associate membership is available for farm managers, consultants, businesses and anyone interested in beef cattle, sheep and goat production in South Australia.
This membership category is for those who are not eligible to pay livestock industry levies under the Primary Industries Funding Schemes Act 1998 and has not sought a refund. An associate member who pays the annual membership fee will be considered as a full member with voting rights.
From January 1, 2014, the associate membership fee is $110 per annum (includes GST). This can be paid to Livestock SA either by cheque or EFT (electronic funds transfer) using the following bank details:

Livestock SA started after the SA Farmers Federation folded in 2012. The commodities covered by SAFF each moved to establish autonomous commodity advocacy groups. This means each group can form policy that best serves its industry and members and can comment on issues affecting them.
Yes because it allows each group the independence to manage their own commodity group and its operations while not interfering with decisions or issues unique to other industries.
Yes! Livestock producers who pay industry levies to the SA Sheep and Cattle Industry Funds are eligible to be members and there is no additional cost. Membership forms can be filled out on Livestock SA’s website or request a hard copy from the Livestock SA office or print one from the website.
