Livestock SA welcomes new board members at AGM

Livestock SA announced the results of its first election of board members at its annual general meeting at Roseworthy today.

Successful candidates include:
- Andrew Clarke, Allandale Station, Oodnadatta.
-Joe Keynes, Lorelmo Keyneton Station, Keyneton.
-Bill Nosworthy, Lake Hamilton Station, Port Lincoln.
- Steve Radeski, Adelaide.
- Penny Schulz, Schulz Livestock, Field.

These new and returned board members join those continuing for the second of their two‐year term including president Richard Halliday, Geoff Power, Alexander MacLachlan, Andy Withers and Jack England.

Mr Halliday says the election is a great result for Livestock SA’s members, with the new board representing a wide cross‐section of the state and bringing a different mix of skills and experience to the table.

“We are pleased with the voting turnout of about 25 percent of members, which shows strong support for our first election and first AGM,” he said.

“Livestock SA acknowledges the contribution during the election process of two champions of the industry – Keith livestock producer Robyn Verrall and Upper Sturt producer Jean Evans.

Robyn was a new nomination to the organisation while Jean was the inaugural treasurer and has dedicated many years of service to the South Australian livestock industry, particularly on behalf of Adelaide Hills’ producers.”

Mr Halliday said the board announcement had been overshadowed by news that Mr Radeski had been in a serious accident over the weekend and was still in hospital.

“Livestock SA wishes Mr Radeski a speedy recovery and we look forward to his later involvement with the organisation after he is given the all‐clear to be able to take‐up the role.”
